    I am all for it! I guess that you can’t give web-sites, but maybe a hint of “search” keywords. i would like to try building one, I have time, but unemployed for 2 yrs., in fact just got done applying for today.

    A 100 feet diameter wind turbine on or near a house? That turbine would have to be over 160 feet high! Just sound of the thing turning in the wind would upset half the neighbourhood.

    Most residential wind turbines aren’t bigger than a diameter of about 5 to 7 feet, double that for a large one.

    Besides all that, the smaller wind turbines are way too expensive for the amount of power they generate. There is an organisation in the Netherlands that has a field with over 10 different residential wind turbines they’re testing. 
    A large (200 feet+ diameter) generator can ‘earn’ its cost back in about three years. A 14 feet diameter residential turbine would take approximately 50 years to earn it’s initial cost back. The thing would be worn out three times over by then.

    Put up some solar panels, much cheaper for the same amount of power and just as green…
