You know how much I love Green Lighting and Light Emitting Diode (LED) bulbs. They are helping companies save millions of dollars. One of my favorite LED companies is MSI lighting. They are relamping Macy’s and saving millions of dollars.
In addition to saving buckets of cash, the light looks better, is more energy efficient, and saves on power plant emissions. Bam!!
So when even the “Sunshine Factory” is being lit with LED’s, you know they’re here to stay. LED lights from MSI are making Sam Levitz’ furniture showrooms almost as bright and green as nature itself.
On my website, The Green Living Guy, I recently wrote up an excerpt on green lighting and realize that the numbers say more than I can regarding retrofits, jobs and energy prices:
This $62,180 retrofit is expected to reduce electricity demand by 92,011 kilowatts, saving $10,441 per year for “The Biggest Little City in the World.” The upgrade is part of a citywide energy and water efficiency plan that is projected to save $1 million a year and create 222 jobs. At the lighting ceremony, the old incandescents were passed around the crowd as souvenirs of the past.
All of these are examples of what this country could be doing to shake it up!! What do you think about LED lights?
